    What's it worth?

    Hello there,

I'm curious as to what people would sell or pay for a good condition 1969 Series 2a, 109, 6cyl, single cab ute with just under 90k miles on it?

It has been garaged for the better part of 25 years. Still runs well and is started monthly and taken for a drive.

    What are they worth?

    Regards
    Will.

I would expect something as described would be somewhere between $3k and $8k. you could try $10k if you think it is exceptional.

Good condition has different meanings depending on whether you're the purchaser or the seller. For example, you could buy my Commodore that needs a bit of a tidy up. Those who know it ask why it hasn't been put off the road yet.

Being so low in km, that is a bit of a plus if you want to keep it original and show it. If you want to mod it and take it off road, I would suggest this is not the car for you.

I agree with Mick's price range. The problem is that good examples of any 2as are so rare that there is no established market to know the price. The six is quite rare in the 2a, and this is either a plus (as a collector vehicle), or a minus if you are looking for parts for a daily runner, although just about all parts can be found.

Hey, John, how rare would a 6 cyl 2a Station Wagon be?
Would they be as rare as the Series 1 Station Wagons?

No, not as rare as the 107, but still quite rare, and definitely saleable - depending of course on condition.

Station wagons (109 or 107) are attractive because they can carry more people than a ute or hardtop or softtop, but the downside is that there is a lot more upholstery and interior body fittings that represent a lot of work and/or cost if restoring one. The six obviously performs more like a modern car, but at the expense of restricted centre front legroom, thirst, and scarce parts. And it still has a lousy turning circle and no power steering or airconditioning.
