I just use a 2 leg gear puller. having said that I just sheered the bolts off yesterday when I tried to remove one.... new bolts are sourced, going to try again, maybe with some heat. The box needs new seals anyway so surely it wont matter too much.

Hi Debruiser,

Thought i'll take more refined/polished approach and have a proper tool for the job, in case i end by doing something i regret. Novice like me is bound to mess up without instructions or proper tool.

lol. You sound like me Only I'm a tight and I refuse to pay $60 to get 1 thing done. And by the way I used a different puller today, bigger stronger one that I borrowed from Dad, and it worked a treat!

I regret that I live so far from most members.... I can't go see other people's collections
