Hi Mick, I'm Scott, Lachy's Dad.
We actually reckon the suffix A is 1963.
There are some more picks on my original thread (before Lachy got his own username) under "The Defender's father has arrived".
Early (62/63 ?) LWB 2A that came in as a CKD (complete knock down). Had a quick look at the ex-mil list and could not find it there, so it appears to be civy.
