    IIa parts in Oz

G'day, I'm rebuilding a IIa and was wondering if anyone knows where (if) I can get parts for it in Oz, specifically chassis spring bushes.
I have delt with DLS in pomgolia before, very good service, but have lost my email and ebay account numbers, so before setting that up again I was hoping someone here sells them.
Also, does any body have recomendations where to get my gauges reconned?

    Much appreciated.

The great thing about Land Rovers is that they made so many of them there is lots of parts ... the bad thing about Land Rovers is that because they were/are work hacks a lot of pieces on existing cars are buggered!

Fortunately there is new bits available for most parts (I cant stress the 'most' bit enough!) eBay is a terrific source. I got suspension bushes for mine (and parabolic springs) from there, but I cannot remember where they came from. Definitely within Australia though. I might still have the invoice ... somewhere. I've been working on the principal that sometimes it's better not knowing what I've spent!

As for the gauges, my auto sparky sent mine to a guy in Strathalbyn (SA) recently and they came back looking so good I didn't believe they were same gauges - and he reset the mile counter (it stopped turning aaages ago ). Even with postage the cost wasn't all that much either. If I don't remember his name over the weekend I'll go and see mr auto sparky on Monday and find out.

There are a number of Australian suppliers of chassis bushes. Just about any non-dealer Landrover specialist, and it is probable that a dealer would be able to supply - but probably have to order in and cost a lot more.

A few suggestions I have used satisfactorily - All Four x4, Kotara NSW, Four Wheel Drives, Melbourne, Vic, Fred Smith Automotive, Wantirna, Vic, and many more. Can't help with WA though. And although I have not tried them for these, it is likely that the bushes would be available from any auto parts supplier, even if they had to get them in.

Your Guages are really not hard to do yourself. The rubber o ring behind the bezel has usually melted into a mess but its an easy job to take out the guage and clean it up. Sand and paint the bezels, clean the glass, buy a couple of o rings, back together and they look like new!
