    Front Axle U Bolts

    Hi all, I am restoring a 1967 lwb , I have removed the front axle and cleaned it up, I have 3 round top u bolts and 1 flat top, am I right thinking the flat one is for the d/s inner, as I am going to replace with new bolts, I want to get the correct ones

    ummm..... no idea.... BUT i should because I've pulled my front axle off too... maybe I should look closely at the u-bolts before refitting... thanks for the heads up!

    Howdy - from memory, you can't buy the "flat top" u-bolts anymore... At least that's what I found when restoring my 1960 & 1961 Series 2... I had to get the local mechanic to make me one... Keep the old one, at least as a reference!

    Hey! I've got 1 flat top 1 too! nice... will have to pay attention to how I put that together

    I got a flat top one from Paddocks. This was for a '69 88" but I think they are the same axle design
