    Engine Number

    I think I have a series 2 engine in my 1977 series 3 which I am restoring ...

    Anyone help with this engine number ... 151116838

    I think you are correct. Could be from a S2 not 2a.
    Cant find a list of engine numbers at the moment but the 1511.......
    chassis numbers are for a Home model 1961 109" Series 11.

    Hi Craig,

    If this website is anything to go by (Land Rover, Range Rover engine numbers - by Glencoyne 4x4 (Thetford)) you're right. Here they state your's is a 2286cc Series II engine.
