    Rocker cover gaskets

    I need a new one for loti ive seen the paper and the cork ones i was just wondering what one is better 2 1/4 petrol

    I've only seen cork ones.
    Lightly greased cork works well and can be re-used.

    Same here. Check the rubber washers on the nuts that hold down the rocker cover - if these are hardened or gone gooey, you will never get the gasket to seal.

    I've only ever seen the cork ones too. John's tip is a good one so keep that in mind when fitting

    Yh I've cleaned it all up ready as someone used a liquid gasket and paper to seal it and it's been leaking a while but it is a land rover so it's aloud to do that but not when I take it for Rwc cheers all
