    Spring suspension bushes - Replacement

    I wish I had known about this 30 years ago when I spent a sweaty, knuckle-bruising couple of days removing and replacing all the bushes in my old Series IIa girl, with numerous drill bits and hacksaw blades.

    Has anyone tried this technique? Any other tricks for completing this task?

    Try not to replicate everything, he chokes the hammer rather a lot.

    Also he doesn't show lubricating the pin liberally with grease when you put it in so that it makes it easier to get out next time.

    You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.

    That looked so easy. I wont be putting my bush replacement off now....hehehe. not sure about the front chassis bush tho,

    It is a good idea to run a small flap-wheel for a drill, through the spring-eye to clean off the rust and use anti-seize grease as Diana suggests, on the bolts and threads as well.

    That was the easy bit - the one in the chassis is the nasty one! I usually burn the rubber out and cut the outer sleeve with a hacksaw,
