Thread: Earth straps

Hi everyone,

I am in the process of researching the wiring of my series 2 and was wondering if any one knows how many earth straps the Series 2 has and where do they go?

i have seen images on google showing a braided strap going from the gearbox to the chassis but is there one going from the battery to the motor???

i have 3 to the engine and chassie and 2 from engine to the firewall and a bigen from the battery to engine. i get good earth all over the shorty. i also took the earth from head lights directly to battery, i have real good lights now,!!
