Cheers, Mick.
Greetings from the US.
I understand that Australian Land Rovers with a six cylinder engine had an oval grill badge that said SIX. I have a 6 cylinder Series IIa. Does anyone have a SIX badge to sell?
Paul

Hi Paul
Do you also realise that Australian SIIa Land Rovers with the SIX badge were both a different colour and had a grill unique to Australia.

You won't find me on: faceplant; Scipe; Infragam; LumpedIn; ShapCnat or Twitting. I'm just not that interesting.
Thank you for the helpful information. I did not realize that the Australian IIa has a unique grill. What did you mean about a different color?
Paul
Unlike the UK and USA, in Australia it was a bit like Henry's Model T "you can have any colour as long as it's black" , in a long wheelbase SIIa it was grey unless it was a six cylinder when it was cream coloured!
There were exceptions for Government and other fleet contracts when they were painted in fleet colour.
(Short wheelbase were deep bronze green)
