Just thought I'd let you know that my Son is using the rebuild on his Land Rover as a school project, he was busy printing pictures out last night and sticking them to card, never thought this would happen!
He also has got a job during the school holidays (courtesy of me) at a powder coaters, he starts on Monday, he wants to be able to buy parts and not rely on me, again never thought that would happen.
Don't you just love what Land Rovers do to you!
Good Thinking mate, here you go!

Chassis and ID Plate are corresponding numbers.
Cheers, Mick.
No, but if the numeric part on the chassis is the same as the numeric part on the plate, it is quite reasonable to conclude that the alphabetic suffix is the same - especially since the numbers form a continuous sequence regardless of the suffix. The reason that the plate is unreliable is that they are too easy to transfer between vehicles for them to be reliable.
