Well, its true...Series Land Rovers are an addiction.
I literally bought my first series land rover to complete a half done restoration 1 month ago, lord and behold, I have already bought a second!
I was searching for an original petrol engine to replace the holden conversion (only half done so not butchered) in the car thats mostly complete, luckily I found one! problem was, it came with an entire car that was disassembled.
the good news is, now I have 2 series 2A's!
the new girl is a G code so 69 - 71 or something, has an original safari roof, body is in good condition, chassis is near perfect and has come with many many parts, new and old!
Problem is, now I dont know what to do with it. So ill get some opinions!
A: Sell the parts individually?
B: Put back together but with a full "mechanical" restoration (body as is) and the holden engine?
C: continue the full body restoration after I finish the other restoration?

Buy another one in case a few bits are missing and you decide to do up both of them; and before you know it you'll have about 16 diffs, a dozen rusty fuel tanks ,20 pitted swivel balls, 10 dented mud guards etc etc. Be very very careful !!

I must sort out the growing collection of dented wings (mudguards), bonnets, diffs etc. etc. Every time I want a particular part I haven't got it so buy another 'spares car'.
I did throw out a lot of rusty doortops recently so now have a collection of window glass instead.

Sounds like me. Had 1 109 todrive. A swb fora project. I bought a 109 for a diff. Dad bought a swb because it had a good engine. We got another because. ... then there was the one that we got from 800kms away because it was 'rust free'. Lol.
Now we have 6i think. .... None on the road..... Haha

Can anyone tell me what the seals etc are in the plastic bag?
Also other bits n bobs such as box of brand new tail lights, disassembled suffix "B" box and transfer, assembled and leaky series 3 "h" box and transfer, selector gators...the list goes on.
I can also confirm that the engine turns over by hand and from the sounds of it, there is some sort of compression (its what I would expect from an engine that apparently was running)
More and more is being uncovered as i go thru the boxes and see what I actually bought

The seals etc in plastic bags appear to have Lanbdrover part numbers on them. The 2a parts book has an index by part number, so all you need is a parts book. Go to the top bar of this page, click on "Shop" and look for "Rave CD". This will give you what you need on CD, and help support the forum.
