Never run across that. I have three here at the moment and all the threads are the same on corresponding parts, as far as looks go anyway. (I haven't actually tried to interchange them) Two of these are originals and one a new Chinese one.

Hi all, Picked up a Zenith 36IV carby for the 2a tray back to replace the holden carby thats been on it as long as I have had it. Also got a rebuild kit (britpart)to overhaul. Now that I pulled it all apart I have made a discovery, All the metering jets, bar the main jet, in the overhaul kit are a different size to what is fitted :O Not the jet hole size, the actual thread and physical size of the jets.
All the gaskets are correct, as are the split pins, washers etc. Just the jets differ, Is there different zenith 36IV's? I assumed they would all be the same basically. I know they were used on a wide variety of motors, but assumed just the jetting was changed. Has any1 came across this before?
Oh , and yes the old girl runs just fine with it installedAt least the aircleaner bent pipe does not vibrate on the bonnet now!
Cheers Scott

I had pretty much the same experience on my series 3. Got kit, but only ended up using the gaskets. Fortunately the old jets work fine. All the new jets and valves, do have the same threads (mostly) but they are different to look at and the ones I did fit for the accelerator pump stopped the pump working.
Hmm, so it looks like 'itpart engineering strikes again?Although the quality of the parts appears very good. I pulled the zenith on the J2 Bedford 214 motor and its got the same thread size for the jets as the rover 1.
Cheers Scott
