    Door check straps

    Hi all

I am missing these. I understand there are 3 basic parts - a tube that is bolted under the parcel shelf on the firewall, a bracket that bolts to the door and a rod that joins the two.

I have Series 3 doors so I believe I will need these:

Landrover Series 2A TO S3 Door Check Strap Conversion Bolt ON Stainless Steel LH | eBay

    then the rods

Land Rover Series 2 and 2A Door Check Rod x 2 | eBay

but I am unable to locate the tube part as per picture

Any ideas or is there an alternative?

    Thanks

    Hi 86mud,

All of your assumptions below are correct (based on my 2 x Series II's).

Maybe check with the Ho Hars (or another Series wrecker) for those under-dash tubes...?

Have you bought a "Rave CD" from AULRO? This CD comes with a parts manual - perhaps you could get the part number for the tube and have better luck searching some of the UK web-sites (craddocks, dunsfold, etc?)

    Cheers,
    GG.

I have 2 "tubes" on my old bulkhead but nothing else. Im in SA so would have to post as well. Better to contact the Ho Hars as said by GG. I think they r in QLD.

Tubes (bolted) are 330393 RH, 330394 LH but can't find at the usual suppliers.
    Rods are 332715

Looks like it's started to get expensive just to fit door stops. The alternative might be to get the Series III brackets that bolt to the bulkhead and fit them using rivnuts.

    Thank everyone.

I visited the Ho Hars on the weekend and will have the door check tubes put back on when the firewall is out getting repaired.
