Thread: Seats for Series 2

Note that seats are the same from Series 2 to the end of Series 3. The higher backs that became optional in later S3 production are an improvement.

3 bases & 3 backs in the front so........is it a wagon ?

The bases tend to rot when they get wet and the vinyl gets torn over the years so good secondhand seats are in short supply.
The bases can be made from plywood, backs are a steel pressing so you have to find some of these in reasonable condition.




Aftermarket seats are available from the UK, cheap to buy, expensive when you add shipping.

hi yes i have seat backs and base will need recovering jim

Defender bucket seats bolt onto the original mounts on a S3, so I think they will fit a S2 as well. They can be used for the driver and the front-outer passenger,
