    Fuel gauge replacement Series 2

I need to replace the fuel gauge in my Series 2, do I have to also replace the sender. I'm sure I read somewhere that gauges are matched to the sender.
    Thanks.

Not exactly - there are two types; up to 1967, and post 1967. But you have to be sure whether the one you have is original or not. The easiest way of checking what you have is whether there is a voltage stabiliser - this is only present for the post-1967 ones.
