Well, having returned from the two main events the other week,,, Corowa and Cooma,, was very happy with how she traveled.
The run up to Corowa was done in small steps,, good to do really, but still done at a fair speed (trying to keep up with everyone else

) and in very windy conditions. She ran flawlessly the whole way, but used a bit of oil overall to get her to Albury for her week+ stay there before Cooma.
So then, we had a major haul to get from Albury to get to Cooma. Trying to do the right thing via Leeanne who was towing the 21' van with the D4, we decided to up via Tarcutta, Tumut and on to Cooma. The only real issue here was the haul up from Talbingo up To Yarrangobilly where it seems you just drive straight up the side of the mountain. This, as far as Leeanne and towing goes, was a better option as its not as tight/steep as the Elliot Way, in which you can also encounter Logging Trucks. However, on the trek up, after "just" starting, we uncounted a Toyota ute towing a horse float. Painful for some of the guys is an understatement really,, they struggled for cooling and or power/gearing. However,,, for my little girl, she was in her element. We just chugged along, enjoying the scenery.
It was for me, probably the best drive section of the entire trip,, some 1500 odd clicks.
Anyway, we rolled into Cooma I think about 3:30-4-ish (?). Personally, I was stuffed by the end of it, and glad to arrive, albeit rather excited to say the least. Land Rovers everywhere.

Sleep, which I probably really needed, was not forthcoming for some time. Too much to see and do, and so many people to talk to.
So, to heading back a couple of days later, we made the plan to head back via Cann River. For us in the east of Melb, a much shorter venture to get back home. Anyway,, again, the little girl marched along with no problems at all. We stopped off at Ewing Morass Conservation Park, which was cool as,,, have to go back for a better look-see
All in all, I used a fair swag of oil,, maybe about 3-4lts,, lots of spots on the back of the car

. Had a few run-ins with ****wit drivers that are in just too much of a hurry, taking stupid chances.
So, for now, she will sit in the shed,, although there is a little visit to the dealers here to show them the little beast,,, they want to see her

and hopefully a few small drives around the SE here. After that, I've got some issues to deal with. The brakes need to be redone, and whilst in Cooma, I found a clutch cylinder thats been sleeved in stainless, so I'll fit that. I'll see if I can work out exactly just how much oil I'm losing, be it leaks or actual usage. I don't have time/money to rebuild the motor before we head off around Aus, so I'm hoping its more leakage than usage.
She's a great little car to drive, and looking forward to when I can do a full rebuild in a couple of years. Probably won't be done for (hopefully) the 75th Cooma event, but I'm fine with that, cause it'll mean we have not settled down again yet
