So, JT,, here's my thoughts 💭
Ok 👌 so first up, it's just a thought, and I was thinking that essentially it would just be a meet and greet sort of thing,, a BBQ 🍗, maybe some posing pics taken, a little convoy drive of old Landies, and just the general banter we get up to,,, only in person.

Lee, you can certainly bring the D5,,, Martin, you can come too, in your Defender even. As can anyone else.

As as far as location goes, I was thinking somewhere between Lillydale and Yea,, might even be able to temp a winery 🍷 into letting us on there site,,, I'm sure some of you would partake in some of their wares. If this is the case, we would probably need to get some numbers.
I thought of this because of distance and times to get there, it's probably reasonably central for both the Westerners and those on the Easternmost side of Melb. Of course, it won't suit everyone, but I do want to be fair on as many as possible. And chances are, it'll be a Sunday, which I'm not sure if young Mick would be able to make it,, so let me know dude if your unable to organise something, in which case, we'll see what we can do about a Saturday,, but I'm pretty sure, if the hen, "I" won't be able to make it,,,, and no comments from the peanut 🥜 gallery needed Chris

Anyway,, just a thought I thought,, might be nice to see a little gathering of Series here at some point.

    I'm vague and I'm interested.
Not sure about a winery though........

If I asked nicely I might be able to access a bush area in Harkaway for a nominal sum, if we do some clearing it might be free.
Land Rovers, chainsaws, axes plus a big fire later in the day

We would have to behave ourselves. There are toilets and an indoor cooking area & bunk room if we wanted to stop overnight.

Anyway, see what you can come up with.

Between Lilydale and Yea? Perhaps we could have a challenge. See if any Series can manage Rocky Track without breaking something.... Or, maybe not...

Lots of wineries ( duh ), maybe Fregussons is worth a look, they have a Sunday carvery for $50 pp, if a BBQ doesn't work out.

( Our Restaurant Overlooks Our Vineyard in the Yarra Valley | )

I'm glad more modern vehicles are allowed, as the Series III is going to stand out amongst all those old timers.

Funny you should say that - I've conducted that experiment...

As it turns out, even with a heap of camping gear and towing a caravan, a 101 holds well over 14 dozen - that's when I stopped packing them and started getting them send by courier...

But empty on a day trip - about 80 dozen would bring mine to its legal weight limit...
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.
