    They're not widened, they have had the offset changed. The centres are cut out and then welded back in around the other way. Effectively this moves each tyre about 30mm further out. It means you can fit taller tyres without rubbing on the springs when steering. The tyres I've got are 255/85 which are about 33 x 9.5 inches.

    I understand I have four kids 8, 7, 6 and 3. This will be my first time out with my Series III so I'd prefer to go without the kids just in case something happens and I'm out longer than expected (like a break down or tyre problems).
