The engine number on two and a quarter engine is at the front left of the engine block just
below the front bottom exhaust manifold stud.
The engine number is arranged vertically on a flat section of the engine block.
The vehicle or chassis number will most likely be on the rear left spring hanger, as well as
stamped on an aluminium plate fixed to the firewall/bulkhead, directly in front of the gear lever.
If the vehicle has a heater, the plate will be fixed to the dash, "most likely" to the right of the
steering column.
If the vehicle was not an Australian CKD import, the chassis number may be on the front right
spring hanger.
Confused yet?
Hope this helps.
Cheers, Mick.
