I did get one a while back, I'd have to check availability and price locally.

Remember the UK has had major issues with Covid and Paddocks have been limiting the number of orders per day, have shut their counter sales and are running on reduced staff.
Just had two orders dispatched quickly, despite some items having to be ordered in. Shipping form the UK was under a week.

Yeah I print a lot of flexible materials, they can be tricky to print but I've made watertight gaskets and o-rings for various things without a problem.

I think a lot of UK companies are making a lot of excuses about postage. I bought a set of truck cab seat belt mounts from HNJ in the UK and they arrived within a week.

    Thanks,
I'll get the young bloke to look at sourcing the flexible material for his printer if I can find a sample of the grommet.
I have found a couple of blanks for the other side, I think the idea was to cut a hole in one of these, not ideal but marginally better than nothing. I'll keep looking because I thought I had one somewhere......

The blanks have a part number RAYCO PART R5428 but no luck tracking down the supplier.

You want to get some kind of TFU filament but which kind depends on your printer. The flexible filaments can be very difficult unless you have a direct drive extruder. Need to check on compatibility with oils too.

    Have you tried Atlantic British?
I found wiper blades and assemblies cheaper delivered to Oz from them. Also their series of ‘how to’ videos is excellent.

    let me get this straight..

Its a landrover, and you guys are worrying about fitting a seal to a compartment that has a drain bung at the bottom that you usually dont put in anyway?

If you dont fit the wading plug how are you going to know if its leaking properly?

It's not only water us guys are trying to keep out, it's sand and dust as well.

    hrmmmm,

you realise omitting it gives a place for the clutch dust to escape?

Clutch dust isn't as potentially harmful as road dirt, sand, grit etc.

Did the first 80's have the grommets ? I remember a presentation at Cooma 2008 from a gentleman who came out from LR to solve problems with the vehicles on the Snowy. He mentioned if reversed into a bank of mud/snow this could enter the bellhousing and the reverse scroll oil seal on the crank delivered the snow/mud into the engine.
I'm sure he mentioned that feedback was to install the grommets.

There are rubber shops and plumbing suppliers that have lots of funny looking bits one of which may be adaptable.
