    Outer steering column fibre bush

    G’day all.

Hope all are well. I’m rebuilding the steering at the moment and it seems that the top steering bush seems to not allow the inner steering column to pass through. Having not done it before is of typically quite a snug fit ? Should I be using my dead blow mallet to persuade it ( fibre bush ) to stay within the outer column ? IMG_2008.jpg

Trying to think back to when I did mine. Part of me thinks it goes in from the other end (box end) but I could be wrong, it’s been a while.

You haven’t swapped any bits over? S2 & S3 parts look similar but aren’t interchangeable.

Thanks for the reply. I haven’t changed parts, but I will see if during the storing it hasn’t gotten wet and swollen.

I have dismantled the box end. I get the feeling it’s swollen it hard on the inner column and won’t stay in the outer column. Thanks for the reply.
