Even simpler than a 77 Range Rover which actually had 3 fuses.

I think I may have solved it. It’s a series 1 fuse box. I understand that some series 2’s were frankenrovers with parts from Series 1. Makes sense now.

I have fuse envy

According to my S2 /2A parts book there was a change of fuse box between the two series but they don't show what the difference was.

G'day Kim,

From your photo of the single fuse box (correct for a positive earth S2) the right hand twin terminal is A4 and the left hand terminal is A3 going to the ignition switch and ignition coil and points.

What size fuse is that, I have read lots of different articles

The fuse size is 3AG and amperage of fuse is determined by what the current draw of the circuit you connect too.

An example is a fuse rated at 20AMP fuse will open at 40AMP meaning at 100% overload.

On the other hand a circuit breaker rated at 20AMP with open at 20AMP depending on air temperature.
