    Secondary tank mount originality

Hi, I have a Series 1 tank (no filler neck, just the cap on the tank) on the passenger side of my early Series 2a 88 (as an auxiliary). It’s not got the standard mount at the front but it looks quite well done. I was wondering if anyone recognises a similar set up (especially in terms of design of the forward mount) in their early Series 2a (or even S1 or 2), and this whether this may have been an optional factory fitment or something a PO might have added later. The rear mount has all the correct fixings etc.

The tank looks like 552176 auxiliary tank, All Series IIA and III 2.25 petrol models, but the front mount is not the correct RTC7212 - looks like something a dealer might have done, or possibly the Australian factory.

Very similar to the Series 1 tank, but I don't think it is quite the same. Definitely not the same as the LH tanks fitted to Australian military 2As, but correct for the civilian ones.
