    S2A steel door skins

Hi all, as above.. Has anyone come across very old steel door skins on a S2A?

A long wheel base wagon we have has got 3 of them, I was thinking it's unusual.

    Cheers

Could be very well done home made jobs, I have a set of wings from a 107" which are handmade. If they weren't rusted you wouldn't tell from the outside that their not factory ones. Underneath has lots of cuts in the top piece to form the curve around the front and to create a lip to fix the side piece on.

Thanks for that, they would have to be extremely well made home made skins!

They are badly rusted but where they aren't they look pro!

    Who knows...

In 1963 I had a 1958 ex-SMHEA Series 2. The right hand door skin was steel, presumably done by SMHEA. It was indistinguishable from genuine except with a magnet.

Probably not as good as factory, but I'd be happy if I'd done it.
