    Cleaning fuel tank

While continuing my shake down driving of the 2A I noticed some crud in the fuel bowl so I decided to check fuel tank for crud. First job undo fuel tank drain plug, it’s one with the groove in it and I don’t have the correct tool. I was going to fabricate one and while trying to measure groove I found a quick alternative. I know shifters are frowned upon but today they did the job so here’s a quick hack to undo fuel, sump and differential plugs.

Poop. I wish I had seen your thread two days ago!
I did the same and my neighbour had one of these T&E Tools SAE 9 Sizes Drain Plug Wrench (SP7687) | eBay, which I borrowed.
I used a bottle jack to hold it in place (bit of pressure, not too much) and then hit the tool with a hammer. After that, 2 litres of black stinking slime sent everywhere, except in the bucket.
