Series 2a - brakes, clutch and PBR remote power booster

I went to identify my brake components in Farmcar-2 (SWB 88) and realised there were some modifications!

Brake/clutch reservoir has had the clutch line pinched and deleted, clutch has a different cylinder with its own reservoir.

PBR brake booster, looks to be VH44 (my guess - not knowledge based) fitted. Has PBR and Pat No 260550 on it.

I want to go through and redo the entire braking system, so do I keep the remote booster or ditch it? Apparently it was quite common for English cars to get the booster in Aus. I guess if there was a rebuild kit for the booster I could leave it in there, and bend my own brake pipes?

Or do I go out and buy a brake kit - front, rear and pipes and go back to stock. I'd need the reservoir and new clutch and master cylinders as well. But I think all that would be available.

I think the drums are all 10" but I haven't cracked the drums off yet.

    Some piccies attached.

    Looks like a VVH44.

The (original) clutch master cylinder is more or less specific to Landrovers, so you need to get it from the dealer or by mail order, but the one fitted is the one fitted most commonly to override trailer brakes, and hence is available everywhere. Operationally there is no difference.

While the lwb Series 2a has fairly good brakes if in good shape, the swb brakes are less so - when I had an 88, in the 1960s, I fitted a VH44, and was very happy with it.
