Once you remove the pin there is nothing except friction holding the shaft. A press or a little heat will help.

Just trying to work out if the pedal shaft on the brake pedal is a push fit or there is something more to it?
I've removed the pin/fencing wire and noticed in the manual there is an oil plug and washer on one side.

Tried to remove the oil plug but there does not appear to be any screws/bolts holding it in - how do I get that out? I've tried to drift the shaft out but to no avail - any thoughts?

From memory it only taps out one way.

I have achieved the impossible and removed the pedal shafts.
7 days of spraying with WD40 and lots of force (in the vice) and they came loose.
Not sure if they only come out one way, but I did it from the oiler side, ie the side with the smaller opening ie the one shown entitled brake pedal shaft with oiler
Took some pressure and it released with a bang but no damage, so now I can clean and paint the pedals and pedal box.
Wait until you tackle the steering relay.....

When reassembling, it might help to stick the pin in the freezer for an hour and leave the pedal box in the sun.
