				Hi all
just starting the rebuild of of my early 2.25 and while it’s off getting machined thought I go thru the parts sent from turners
they recommend the td5 Conrod bearings as that’s what they use but the are a bit narrow than the original I do trust turners but wondering if anyone here has fitted them and has any feedback thanks

I can't comment on using the TD5 shells but I had the same problem and read the same solution.
The TD5 has a bit more power that a 2.25 so the fact that they are narrower shouldn't be a problem
I was trying to solve a low oil pressure problem, crank journals were OK, ordered what I thought were the correct shells which wouldn't fit and found I had an early engine !
In the end I found that I had a STD set of NOS shells purchased in a job-lot so I didn't need to go down the TD5 route.
I did find NOS early shells but they were advertised at crazy prices.
