CKD means it was built by Rover as a kit for assembly outside the UK. If it is in Australia, it was probably assembled in Australia.
In this case the chassis number should be stamped on the outside of the LH rear spring hanger. This is likely to require to be wire brushed back to bare metal to read it.
There are several possibilities if it is not found. Probably the most likely is that the chassis , or that part of it, is no longer the original one, or the bulkhead, including the data plate is no longer original. In the second case it could be somewhere else, or missing.
A second possibility is that the vehicle was assembled by a state distributor - like Annand and Thompson in Qld, and they may have the number on the RH side of the front chassis, either on or behind the dumb iron.
