I reckon due to having been over tightened, the part indicated "flared" and is now leaking.

Haven’t had any time for Sid this past year or so while I’ve been stuck working in Devonport but as I’m home for Christmas, hoping to get him up and running.
So far so good, quick battery charge and he started first click. Now the issues
Stopping the banjo fitting from leaking on the Solex carb, new fibre washers installed but can’t get it to stay tight. Always seems to be 1/4 turn loose and dripping. Quick tighten and all fine, until a few weeks later.
Suggestions welcome!!

thanks, not that bit... I found a NOS lid for the Solex so that is brand new. the leak is from the bolt end of the banjo fitting, the bolt itself is not staying tight
Wondering if a bit of wear in the banjo bolt... some locktight maybe, can't find original new bolts or banjo's...
Managed to find an original fuel pipe from pump to carb, that while expensive, fits so well and doesn't rely on jubilee clips or the like.
At thsi poitn I am really not confident about taking him on the road as the first sign of trouble will be flames
Are you using the correct parts ?

I'm reading and what B.S.F. posted makes sense......
You say it's leaking from the end of the hollow bolt (?) so is the hollow bolt suspect ?
Is the hollow bolt too long maybe or is the banjo too thin so the hollow bolt is bottoming out in the carb body ? Problem is you say it works loose so that doesn't make sense.
Is the hollow bolt fractured ? Fibre washers compressing & relaxing ??
Interested to hear what fixes the problem.
