I am toying with the idea of doing a 2A rebuild I was just wondering if military vehicles have more robust drive trains and chassis than civilian models

Hi there
Its been seen around a few times - but now we have our own section "2 & 2A"
Its a 1964 Series IIa Ex Army Fire Tender - with a PTO centre mounted coventry climax pump. The restoration took over 5 years but well worth the wait.
Well enjoy

G'day Numpty
Yes, it would much nicer with a 2.25 litre 4 cyl in it or even a 200 TDIbut at least it is being restored, and it looks like it will be a good job too
cheers
No worries, I hope you manage to clear out your collection.
here is our ex military 11a with it's younger stage1 brother. The 11a has been highly modified. These include holden 173, high ratio tc, barn door, dulux weather sheild duco, head lights moved, bucket seats etc. All done by previous owner/s. The interior has also been changed heaps by someone who had far too much spare tome on their hands!
