Ok, just being doing a bit of online research and found this.

    http://http://www.lrfaq.org/Series/F...uffix.IIA.html

From what this says it makes mine a 1964 Series 2a. Based on chassis and gerabox numbers. Engine appears to be a series three 2.286cc petrol. Carbie is a Zenith, which doesn't seem to be mentioned anywhere. Where does it come from? None Landy?

Anyway, time to update the signature!

The Zenith carburetter was fitted to the 2.25l engine from engine suffix 'J' for 7:1 compression and suffix 'A' for 8:1. They are possibly more common than the Solex, having continued into S3 production.

G'Day Draper - It's good to see some pics of the third of the trio. The two brother vehicles to yours are well known!

I take it by your request for a pump that you are interested in returning it to it's former fire-engine configuration?

In my previous post I said I had a Zenith carbie. What I meant to say was it has a Stromberg that looks like a Zenith. Hence my question where does it come from?

The most common Stromberg fitted to this engine is off a Holden - but they don't look much like a Zenith! It is possible that Stromberg have made carbies to Zenith design, in fact the name Stromberg-Zenith sounds familiar, but I can't place where I have heard it.
