    G'day Wannalandie

If your vehicle is a LWB Series 2/2a and has the Master Cylinder with the LARGE NUT at the end it is a CB type and would have a 1" (inch) bore then the kit you require is K53

    cheers

    G'day Wannalandie

Just had a look at your pic, that is a CV type as the 2/2a used a CB, the Series 3 used CV MAKE SURE IT IS A 1inch bore as I am aware of at least 2 fatal accidents where the vehicle failed to stop, owing to only having a 3/4 inch bore, THAT IS THE MASTER CYLINDER FOR A SWB vehicle fitted with 10"inch Drums not the larger LWB's 11" Drums

For the LATE 2a/3 the 1" CV type was used, the kit for that is K57

    cheers

    G'day Wannalandie

I have just put the book away but it is $16.50 in my cattledog No33 These mastercylinders can be a pain to bleed,as they have an air trap in the spring chamber section of the nut, but if when it is assembled, and after you have put it on the brake pedal box, hold it with the nut downwards fill the outlet port (closest to nut) until overflowing, (seal with tape) and then do the same with the inlet port,(seal with tape) then when the pedal box it bolted to the firewall, first connect the inlet from the resevoir, then the outlet pipe, to bleed them, adjust the wheels up tight, then bleed, the outlet pipe at the M/cyl, then down at the junction on the chassis that will get a lot of the air out, then bleed the lines in the normal way

    Hope that helps

    cheers

Hi UncleHo , I've done some learning over night and the CV unit i have got is the 1 inch master cylinder off my donor landy which is a late model 2a . Going to stick with the CV as i think it will be easier to bleed after the info you had givin me about the CB unit .
