    alternator bolts

Howdy Guys , went to bolt the alternator back on the engine tonight and i don't know if i have bolts missing or more like it forgot how it goes back together . I got most of it all back in place but haven't put the bolts in the bottom holes of the alternator . Is it one long bolt that goes all the way through or is it 2 small bolts that lock it into place ? Also there is a gap between the back of the mounting point and alternator with a small dowel coming off it . Is there meant to be a spacer there or pack it with washers or have i screwed up somewhere ? has anyone got a pic of the mounting points of the alternator

bottom bolt goes through the plate that is also the timing mark and then the block (about 5-6 inches) top just mounts the the curved bracket - compared my original and newer motor, both the same.

I'll have to lift the motor out to get the camera under the motor to shoot the photo i'll try it tonight. It has one bolt that goes all the way through at the bottom and a short bolt up the top.
