    everything

    Simplicity, friendly styling, originality.

I like the flat glass and the metal dash with simple instruments. The part synchro box is great, so are the cool little sliding windows and the simple front vents.

I get into our Landy and I just smile every time. I don't get that feeling from many cars.

Of all my Rovers the 69 S2a 88 has the most charm. It is all original and still in use. Does the rough work the Toymotor's can't do. Looks a bit rough but never been restored. If you see what my Rovers have to do you will Know why It still drives really well.
    Cheers RR

Yes my favourite was always the late 2a with the outside headlights, they had dual screen wiper motor (upgraded to 2 speed with the help of a Morris marina motor), the best of the series boxes and you could hose them out when they got muddy.

Geez I mis that 109" station wagon.

My next acquisition will have to be a workshop just like Master Chiefs latest!

She's just so classic. When I think of Landrover - I think of the IIa. I drive mine daily and there is nothing quite like it when you are in it.

I was talking about this thread with a few mates the other day and they all said what reminds them of a land rover is a SWB dark green series 2a with the white hard top . I don't think it matters who you talk to everyone refers to a land rover being a series 2 or 2a . Now that is classic for ya
