Thread: Whose got their Series II/IIa into a bizarre position? (pics please)

Great pics!
Did you fit coil springs to make it do that?
Could you take some closer pics of the stuff strapped to your guards; shovel, etc.?
I already have holes there for the stuff but need to work out what straps and clips to buy to fit to them.
And does anyone know of a place in Sydney or Canberra I could pick up those straps/clips?

If you cannot get them the next best thing would be to have them made up, try a saddlery they will definately be able to assist your needs.

Sorry there, of course they are leaf springs.
I'm a bit dozey and a newcomer to Landies.
Surely those aren't standard to flex like that?
Or is there something I don't know?
I do know that the suspension on my '68 IIa trayback Ute is about as stiff as the heirachy at a CWA scone baking afternoon!
BTW, are the straps metal or webbing or leather?
And which tools exactly are being held down?
It's hard to make out in the pics.

G'day All, The "straps" are pioneering tool holders as fitted to Series 2A >> 110 military Land Rovers, they crop up every now and then on ebay, but be prepared to part with some money $$$'s, his vehicle is a Series 2A 109 ex military, he may have done some spring work on it but from the pix they look standard cheers Dennis
PS I generally get mine twisted like this one LOL

In all honesty I cannot recall ever seeing one in a wierd position for long enough to take "the top bloke" picture, they just drive through the stuff the others get caught on.
