I don't know much about them but they are 4.0 L (3980 cc) inline 6, 12 valve OHV diesel engine. Output is between 103 hp (77 kW) at 3500 rpm -and 107 hp (80 kW) with 177 ft·lbf (215 N·m) of torque at 2000 rpm.
I bet they are very heavy.
You would need to get one newer than the LR if you wanted it engineered. (looks like they were in production in the early 80's so that sould be fine)
No knowledge of the conversion itself or if its possible though!
