MPH to KMH is easy:
5mph = 8kmh
So 50 MPH = 80 KMH
80 MPH = 128 KMH
etc
I'd put a little red sticker at the normal speed limit points, eg: standard in-town is usually 60kmh? So that's a sticker at 37.5 mph or as close as you can get. With a speedo over-read of 10%, I reckon a sticker at 40 mph is fine.
In a series it's easy for the miles/kilometer conversion. It'll never go over 50 so ...
5 miles = 8km
20 = 30
30 = 50
40 = 60
50 = 80
That'd be real easy except the speedo doesnt seem too accurate...I couldn't get it to register over 40MPH despite my Dad telling me I hit 90+Km/h. Could have pushed harder if it wasn't for traffic ;)
Bigger tyres than original, slippery speedo cable, not sure the cause yet. And nowhere to plug a GPS in to keep me honest :p
Run a clip on cig lighter from you battery and use your GPS:) Or if you have to get a another speedo depending on whats wrong with yours get one in both mph and kph thats what I did:D
Congratulations Mark! Bet you are happy :)
1.62km = 1mile .... multiply speedo by 1.62 ... how hard is that :p
40kph = 25mph
50kph = 30mph
60kph = 37mph (40)
70kph = 43mph (45)
80kph = 49mph (50)
90kph = 55mph
100kph = 61mph (60)
There is a lot of pop pop popping on over run. Sounds quite comical :) but i guess i'll need to fix that.
could be just timing a little late and igniting petrol in the exhaust, try turning the ingition off then back on while driving and see what that sounds like:twisted:
