Does it need a key?
Sounds good, i just need a key for it now haha, the barrel seems new but the guy i got it from didnt know where the key was... and i think i may need a distributor cap also, im going out to have a play with it now![]()

Course it needs a key! Okay, to be fair, it doesn't matter which key, hell it just needs something that looks similar in shape to a key be it knife, screwdriver, cable tie, bread tag, watch band or otherwise
I turn mine off by pressing my thumb on the barrel and turning![]()
Shamo, the Ho Hars picked up some door tops from the UK recently, cheaper than what you can get them here, it might be worth giving them a yell.
Cheers, Mick.

Ok i lied yesterday when i said i was going to have a play with the car, i ended up watching my first ebay sale finish haha, but now im going out to have a go at it and to grab the lights that i sold so i can post them(the car and all my crap is on a block of land half an hour out of town, hence why i can only really go in bits rather than spend all day on it here at home)
I'm going to try a knife because i'm a tightyI was thinking of just hot wiring it if that doesnt work
doesn't look too complex.
Thanks for that mick, me and the ho hars don't have the best past but i might try talking to them at the next gold coast meeting about it haha. Otherwise i have something lined up for the weekend where i may be able to get new door uppers+quarters (because someone in the past thought it was fun to run along side it with a hammer and bang in the front quarters...) and a new roof of some sort, i want to get a top that i can't really explain well with words... i'm sure there is a name for it but its like the front of the roof is hard and then goes into the canvas top in the rear and you can roll up the sides? not sure if anyone knows what its called...
I'll head out now and take millions of photo's for all, its such a tidy unit, can't wait to get into it properly.

I think they got the door tops from Craddocks in the UK if that helps.
Cheers, Mick.

Thanks for that Mick mate, i'll have a look.
Well i went out and looked at the car today... and i have decided i really need a wiring diagram of some sort or even just a picture of someones engine bay that is in one piece! haha I am usually fine with pulling things apart, fixing them, and then putting together, but in my cars case, everything electrical is all over the place and i have no idea what goes where!
So if anyone has a picture of the wiring diagram or of their engine bay would i please be able to have a peep at it with a pic on here?
I also found I need a fanbelt and a wire for the earth on the battery.
Still sorting out pics, my stupid sony card to sd converter has stopped working

If you look at the top of this page, on the top bar, go to "Shop", and in "Dave's interesting things" you will find a workshop manual on CD. This contains the information you are after - and a lot more you will be looking for. The purchase price will help to keep this forum going.
