Hi all
I have been trying to figure out why Ralph pop's out of 4th on overrun, I had a chat to an old friend who checked out the reconditioned gearbox before I fitted it and he seemed to think the detent springs on 3rd and 4th were, for some reason a bit lighter tensile steel than the rest. I was speaking to Wayne at MR Automotive and he assured me that all the springs, except reverse, should be the same, so I have ordered and received a new set of spring, plus seals, which I will fit this weekend if the weather turns/stays ****ty, but, if there is a blue moon tonight, and by some miracle there's not a cloud in the sky tomorrow,
then the motorbike comes out of the shed instead, and it might end up being an overnighter to a country pub somewhere.
Have a good weekend all.
Cheers Ian
