    where do i look for the chassis, engine and gearbox number

    looks like i have myself a SIIA SWB hardtop as off to today

    first question

    where do i find

    chassis no. - L/H rear chassis rail....yes?
    engine no. - ?
    gearbox SIII no. - ?

    chassis number-you are correct-rear most spring hanger passenger side
    engine number-2.25-just in front and below of the front cylinder exhaust port
    gearbox number-thats a hard one as its under the transmission tunnel I am lead to believe.

    Weeds, when I down there last I asked you if you had any series spares and you said no, well it looks like that may have changed

    The gearbox serial number is stamped on the side of the selector shaft cover by the way.
