The 6 cylinder vehicles, if optioned with a heater, had the thin, square shaped one. The 4 cylinder jobs had the round type, which are deeper.

It looks original to me, but the car has had a resto by a PO sometime ago so its hard to say. The problem I have with it is that the firewall protrudes so far back into the cab that the heater (shin burner type) wont fit between the gearstick - also the hand throttle I have wont fit because it sticks out past the "dash". Anyone have any idea what firewall I have?

It is most likely one (either four or six) that has been modified in a previous incarnation to fit some non-standard engine.
