    6cyl 11a back to 4 cyl??

    need advice have clagged 6 cyl spun rod crank stuffed have 4 cyl motor but bell housing different do you have to change gear box too????

    Gearbox is the same, the bellhousing and...firewall...are the big differences. I think the 6 cyl firewall gives more room, so might not be a problem fitting a 4 in. But I am just guessing on that!

    Gearbox is the same, bell housing different. Other differences are firewall (and hence floor and transmission tunnel, gear lever), position of engine and gearbox mounts, prop shaft lengths, other minor details such as engine control linkages and wiring, radiator and hoses, fuel lines. There are other, inconsequential differences, such as the larger brakes fitted to the six, front spring rates, speedo maximum speed, air cleaner mount, battery position.

    the bellhousing part of your series box needs to be changed and you will need to redo the mounts to suit the 4 pot.
