    Not a Game

I brought this one sight unseen. Knew it was not a game as I already have one which needs a replacement roof.

Someone has made a good go of dressing this on up.

Plan to have the remove the roof, paint and put it on the game. Then sell the doner with my bent roof on it.

I know there is a general school of thought that says the Games had a safari roof but this was not always the case. Mine is a 78 and came with a standard hardtop. This is confirmed by the original sales docs and sales material I've collected since buying it. Saying that if anyone has a swb safari roof I'd love to buy it.

Yes, of the three Games at Cooma this year, mine was the only one with a safari/tropical roof. Either they were an option or Leyland just used whatever they had lying around at the time.

    Cheers, Mick.

But the roof is all wrong - the Game roof has the different side windows.

I was looking at this yellow SWB first time round, and now you've relisted it, it's piqued my interest again.

How far away from rego is it? Still the original petrol engine?

    Hi Ben,

The engine is not original. It seems to be a small blue holden however this looks to be in good condition.

As for rego at a minium it needs 2 tyres, seats and seat belts. Might need door tops to don't know what the rules are there. Then as long as the brakes etc are okay I'd give it a try.

Remember though in the ad I said it would suit restore. If you are prepared to put some work into this car you would end up with a very nice SIII.

    Thanks,

    Simon
