Hi
HOW does the shoes look are they worn or still in good shape? If they are worn it means that ur break cylinder is pushed out too far and the adjuster is not making contact with the shoes.
Hey all
One of the adjuster on the rear of my S3 109 does not adjust, it just turns.
I bought a drum adjuster kit, fitted it. (what a pathetic excuse for a kit BTW, very poor design and hit and miss to install. Screwed up 2 of the snails before it actually tightened up on center!)
Same problem.
The peg on the shoe looks to be OK, its there...its not damaged that I could see...
Whats going on??
Any thoughts?

Shoes look good to me, at least 3-4mm meat.
Some of my other shoes have less and they adjust fine?
When you turn the adjuster it doesn't feel like it does anything, there is no "notchy" feel like you usually get.
Are you sure you have got the right shoe for that vehicle.
There are shoes that have the pins in different places.
For instance. Some late series 111, Stage 1s and drum brake counties have shoes with pins in different places on the leading and trailing shoes. If you fit them the wrong way round you have nothing but trouble and can never get good brakes.
Take the drum off and check that the pin sits opposite the centre of the cam. (On both shoes).
RR.
Will do, cheers.
