    Barney's Real Home.....and it begins!

    G'day everyone,

Well, I guess I can start putting up Barney's story in the right place now, After scrubbing away at his ID plate, I realised that he was not a series 2 with a face lift, he was in fact a full blown series 3, rookie mistake!!

Anyway, he was restored about 10 years ago, but has sat on an empty block since then, so there is quite a bit to redo, but hey, I think he is a good Blank canvas so to speak.

Thanks in advance for all the answers to stupid questions which will follow...

    Cheers Sam

    G'day,
I haven't taken any pics of the inside, but I will......

As far as condition goes, It was running fine, until about 2 years ago, it seams there is a couple of sticking valves, but thats a good excuse to start a bit of open heart surgery, and give it all a bit of a freshen up.
the brake pedal is stuck, but I was planning to rip all the brakes off and give those a good working over ( brakes are something I don't like to cut corners on.......)

    Cheers Sam

I'm guessing you are referring to the sticker next to the tailgate......
What can I say, I'm shocked there hasn't been any comments on the FJ hood ornament.....

Perhaps I shouldn't have brought that one to your attention.....

I'm a fan of HOLDEN powered landies, but jeez, an FJ hood ornament? Please dont say there's an old grey donk under the bonnet

Looks great my 5 door's got a Holden 202 Blue motor, goes great but like yours it still has a lot of work ahead before it gets on the road. I don't know what all the fuss is about with people knocking the holden conversions, after all it kept many of these old girls on the road which is the important thing. If your into mods check Banjo's threads. ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!!!!
