Came across 3 Games in a back yard in Tweed today.
One had a Holden motor fitted. No 235 ?
No Engine fitted. mid late Hundreds.
One Rover motor. Couldn't find bulkhead plate.

Was checking out threads, as a Game lover but not a Game owner, and happened to see a couple for sale recently on Gumtree good prices unfortunately. Anyhow reason for posting is to shed some light on some previous posts about turbo charging. Yes they or it as the case maybe, was real because I test drove one new, and very nearly bought it. It was a petrol Game, from not 100% sure but almost, that it was ULR, because it was where we got most of our LR stuff and my brother had his 88" converted to a 4.4 P76 motor there. It drove really well and I really liked it, also did not feel like it was over straining the rest of the drive train (unlike the 4.4 ). Conversion was really good as one would expect, and they seem to have tuned it for drivability not outright power. At that time was besotted by the RRC and was waiting for their used prices to drop far enough to match my income, took quite a few years but they did. Bought a 2Door one 30 yrs ago and still have it as my daily.
Didn't intend to give a life history sorry.
It would not be the same one , my brother's was not a Game but a series 2A soft top.
Hi there, I am new to this thread and to aulro, although I don’t know why It has taken me so long to join as I am a Landrover fan from way back since my Dad bought a 69 S2a ex army 109, which I still own and took around Australia in 92.
Apart from the 69 and a number of others series and range rovers in my paddock, my pride and joy is a 9/76 GAME that I have owned for a while and I am in the process of trying to get back on the road.
This may be a stupid question, but I read with interest on this thread that there is a build number for the GAME, but I can’t for the life of me find it for mine.
Also, does anyone know where you can source the GAME decals from? Mine are very faded and I would like to replace them.
For the records, mine is as follows
9/76
90327014A
It doesn’t have the rear bumpers or the safari roof or the optional overdrive but it seems to have everything else that a GAME should, including the rear wheel carrier, original wheels, deluxe bonnet and the fibre glass wheel arches that are cracking badly and I need to rebuild.
Thank you in advance for any suggestions.
Cheers
Isn't its number on the compliance plate.
Thanks
I just read through some more posts and saw a pic of the additional plate on the firewall. Before that I could only see the plate on the bonnet striker. Mine was covered and when I uncovered it, it turns out that my GAME is number #123.
I would still love to hear if anyone knows how one might find the GAME stickers. Has anyone sourced them? I expect that I am not the only one with this problem.
Cheers
Harry HoHar (Series Landy Rescue) made some of the stickers for me and a couple of others with Games a few years ago. He may still have some or may be able to make some more. Look for The HoHars on here but I am not sure if they visit here much anymore, may use Facebook mostly.
Cheers,
TimJ.
Timj, I have a better coloured copy of the Game brochure if you are interested. Also a bonus article from a Bushdriver Mag circa 1977 about a rather over the top $30K custom Game from WA. I wonder if it's still around anywhere?

I'm currently doing some research into what brand wheels the Games had. Everything I've ever read says Sunraysia however there are quite a few people on Facebook LR Forums that claim Peco Stars. Being Leyland could be they have used a mix over the course of the production run but I've never seen anything to indicate this. Perhaps you or someone else on here might have something more definitive than Facebook opinions.
