I know of a set or the correct wheels that may still be available if thats what you're after.
Hi Clifton.J the original tyres fitted were I beleive 32x11R15 however they are no longer available in that width.
You can either go for 31x10.5R15 or 32x11.5R15
There is a greater range of patterns in the 10.5 size whereas the 11.5 is now mostly mud patterns.

Hi Wardy,
The documents and manuals that I have all point to the standard size being 31x10.5R15. As you say this size is readily available in pretty much all patterns so is still a good fit. I am thinking of going to 33x10.5 muddies which should help the clearance offroad.
Cheers,
TimJ.

Hi TimJ you could be correct, Im going by what my local Tyre place told me when I showed them the original tyre size, I have the 32's fitted in a MAXXIS Buckshot and have no complaints with them, used to have Savero 31's fitted but had a few near misses on dirt roads

PS would have fitted the Cooper STT's but couldn't afford them![]()

Woohoo, well done Dave!! Another one in the club! Hope it turns out to be a good one for you. I was wondering when you were coming clean after the photo of the roofrack showed it.
The unique Game number is stamped on the plate on the firewall in front of the gearstick.

I was reading a book today that states over 250 of these were made, is this correct???
Nobody seems to know for sure. Figures up to 500 are sometimes quoted but there is no way that many were sold in the short time they were available. Each one is numbered and the earliest I have seen listed was just over 100 in 1976 and the highest I have seen is just under 290 in 1978. So I believe they may have started at 100 rather than 0 and that less than 200 actually were made. There doesn't seem to be anyone who can answer that for sure though.
Cheers,
TimJ.
