    different series 3

    i have the oppertunity to buy an 88 series 3.it has full roof lining which carries into the back and over the wheel boxes.the doors have full black trims and the rear is one door.owner says it is a fully imported english model.anyone know if it is anything special'dont know much about series models

    It sounds like a deluxe model (station wagon) it proberly has a safari roof (a roof above a roof)

    Make sure you check the firewall (bulkhead) and door bottoms for rust also the front and rear chassis and outriggers.

    The interior was standard on a station wagon model (even the 3 door) or it was an optional extra

    Depending on the year it may have a 5 bearing engine.
